Just outside the capital are several idyllic little villages, perfect for pub lunches and long summer walks. Just 40 minutes from the hustle and bustle is a village called Chipperfield.
Near Kings Langley, Chipperfield is in Hertfordshire. The charming village stands proudly on the edge of the magnificent Chiltern Hills. Not only does it offer a wide choice of stunning walks, but it was used as a popular location for the filming of Midsomer Murders.
The village itself has lovely rural wooded areas with great walks through fields of bluebells and horses. This hidden village just outside of London looks like something out of a fairy tale if you ask us.

Rated four stars on Google, one satisfied diner said, “Outstanding customer service, meal was superb, venue spotlessly clean and well appointed”, and another said, “Pleasantly surprised at how well the 2 brewers are Rustic atmosphere, complete menus for the whole family and above all a team of support staff who really took care of us and listened to our needs.”
And one said: “Oh yes! Good meal in this pub. The food was well prepared and so varied, not as usual.”
