Honda Malaysia has issued a recall for the 2021 City Hybrid model and the 2022 Civic FE model as a precautionary safety measure.

The recall affects 630 units of 2021 City RS Hybrid because Honda needs to replace the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) camera.

The device, mounted in the front windshield, may malfunction and cause ADAS to be inactivated while driving.

Honda Malaysia is also recalling 72 units of the 2022 Civic to fix the welding point at the sliding adjustment of the driver’s seat.

The reminder is necessary because the driver’s seat may not be in a fixed position while driving and may compromise seat belt protection for the driver.

All inspections, repairs and replacements of affected parts are free of charge as Honda Malaysia will absorb all associated costs.

Honda Malaysia added that the issues mentioned above did not cause any accidents locally.

Honda Malaysia encourages customers to upload and update their information through the HondaTouch mobile app for further verification, and customers will be notified through notification letters, or they can also contact any authorized Honda dealership.
