“I tested positive for Covid. I have been fully vaccinated but have mild symptoms. I have isolated myself,” he wrote. The award-winning national director urged people to follow necessary COVID-19 guidelines.
“Those who have come in contact with me are kind enough to get you tested. Be careful and follow the Covid-19 protocols,” he added.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai reported 20,927 COVID-19 cases and six deaths on Friday.
Several Bollywood celebrities have tested positive in recent weeks. Actresses Kubra Sait and Mithila Palkar recently tested positive, as did music composer Vishal Dadlani. Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and her friend Amrita Arora, Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea Kapoor and her husband Karan Boolani, Arjun Kapoor and her sister Anshula Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, Ekta Kapoor, veteran star Prem Chopra and his wife Uma were among others who have also tested positive recently.
Last week, Bollywood actor John Abraham and his wife Priya Runchal also revealed in a statement that they too have been affected by the virus.
