The board meeting that never happened: Will a voice sample help EoW break the deadlock at Finolex?

A Pune court last week ordered the EOW to record the voice sample of Meena D’Sa, an executive at Orbit, the family holding company of the Finolex group. Matching the samples would prove essential in determining whether the shares of the group’s holding company changed hands legally or not. Orbit says it appealed the order.

Meena D’Sa, 65, has spent almost four decades in the Finolex group. As a senior executive of the group holding company Orbit Electricals, she managed key issues including that of board meetings and had close interaction with members of the Chhabria family, promoters of the group.
