Need to make plans for Father’s Day this weekend? The Jungle Jim International Market hosts the 15e Annual International Craft Beer Festival on June 17-18, where you can sample from 400 lagers, ales, ciders, seltzers, canned cocktails and more made by 100 craft breweries around the world (with a strong lineup of local brewers in addition).
Jungle Jim’s is already well known in the region for its unrivaled selection of groceries sourced from around the world, but beer lovers also revere the market for its excellent stock of beers, which will be on full display this weekend.
The festival takes place at the Oscar Event Center Oscar Station, a large private event venue adjacent to the original Fairfield Jungle Jim location. On-site food trucks will provide much-needed food to go along with the extensive beverage selection, while live music from the Kevin McCoy Band (Friday) and Second Wind (Saturday) will keep everyone on their toes.
General admission tickets are $55 and will net you a commemorative tasting glass, tasting guide, and access to a world of samples. Early-bird tickets are $65 and will get you sipping an hour earlier than general admission, and more if you sign up for Jungle Jim’s “Brew Crew” beer newsletter. There’s a $25 ticket for non-drinkers if your trusty designated driver wants to feel involved, which includes free sodas, coffee, and water all evening. Eastgate residents might be interested in Eastgate bus tickets available for $65, which entitle you to early admission benefits and transport to and from the festival from Jungle Jim’s Eastgate.
The shindig starts at 7:30 p.m. both nights for general admission and the party goes on until 10:30 p.m. For more information, visit junglejims.com/international-craft-beer-festival.
