Automotive OEM Commits to Expanding Product Range in 2022 Despite Market Challenges

A Staffordshire auto parts manufacturer is preparing for growth in 2022 by committing to increasing its product range and delivery service.

Cheadle-based Klarius launched hundreds of new products on the market last year and managed to maintain its next day delivery service for customers, despite well-documented supply chain issues.

Now the company, which is based in the Brookhouse Industrial Estate, wants to build on its success after laying a “strong foundation for 2022”.

James Ellison, Sales Director at Klarius, said: “The aftermarket faced many challenges in 2021. Logistics planning has been difficult, especially with the unprecedented exponential rise in steel prices and rare earth metals – both of which are key materials for exhaust manufacturing processes.

“Thanks to the hard work of our team and careful planning, we continued to provide our next morning delivery service to resellers and distributors on all products in the range. This meant that we could offer full availability to our customers. , supporting them in times of uncertainty.

“In addition, our New Arrivals program delivered hundreds of new parts to market for a wide selection of new and older vehicles that required additional aftermarket support.”

Klarius is constantly adding new exhausts, catalytic converters, diesel particulate filters and bespoke mounts to its range – which totals over 11,000 individual parts.

It offers replacement components to fit over 24 million vehicles on UK roads of almost all makes, models, ages and segments.

And its in-house logistics operation, AutoLogistiks, provides a nationwide next-morning delivery service.

James added: “Our in-house capabilities and lean manufacturing approach mean we can effectively support our customers across the supply chain and through market volatility.

“In 2022, we will further improve our robust framework, maintaining availability while continuing to increase the product line.

“Our logistics operation will push for new efficiencies to be drawn from deliveries, inventory and distribution solutions, all for the benefit of our customers.

“As we deliver over 90% of orders by noon, we will continue to encourage our customers to only stock a range of quick-selling basic parts, saving them space and capital. rolling.”
